Attention May 2016 Degree Candidates

BSU requires all degree candidates to file a degree application with the appropriate office. The formal graduation review process begins with this step.

All students who intend to complete their degree requirements by May must apply as follows:

Undergraduate students: You must complete a degree application with the Registrar's Office, Boyden Hall, room 003. Please apply after you have registered for your final courses, but ideally no later than December 18th. At the time you apply to graduate, your degree audit should show that all requirements are met.

Graduate students: You must complete a degree application with the College of Graduate Studies, Maxwell Library, room 021. The application deadline is February 2nd. At the time you apply to graduate, your degree audit should show that all requirements are met.

Last call for December 2015 Degree Candidates

If you are attempting to complete your degree requirements by the end of the current semester, and you have not yet filed a degree application, the deadline is long past. If you wish to receive your degree as of December, you must file a degree application as soon as possible. Failure to do so will result in a delay in your degree completion date.

What if your Final Course is a Spring Intersession Course?

If your final course is a Spring Semester Intersession course (i.e., one that begins after Fall and ends before Spring), you will need to complete a May (Spring) Degree Application form. Your academic transcript will be finalized based on when your final degree requirements are fulfilled; and you will receive a diploma during the summer with a May conferral date. At BSU, diplomas are issued three times each year - May, August, and December - based on when all degree requirements have been met.
